Geoffrey Harrison
Geoffrey Harrison FRSA CBPP is a figurative artist, originally from Manchester. He’s primarily known as a portraitist and member of the Contemporary British Portrait Painters.
Geoffrey regularly paints still life for its quiet reflexive nature and this series is especially focused on our various relationships to food, especially if highly processed, and ideas about nostalgia and symbolism.
Getting close up to glossy surfaces and vibrant colours gives a lot of opportunity to revel in seductive imagination of flavours and textures, not all of them wholesome.
