Laurel Molly

Laurel Molly is an award-winning illustrator, animator, and workshop facilitator based in Bristol. She has worked from Fig Studios in the heart of the city for the past 7 years, after graduating from UWE Bristol with a First-Class Honours degree in Illustration.

Her illustrations explore human behaviour, culture, and everyday life through loose linework and gentle colour palettes. The artwork is created through a mix of pen, ink and watercolour and sometimes using digital techniques. Her drawings often features a variety of characters that emerge using nature, colour, light and shadow.

Her work approaches emotive and complex subjects with sensitivity and warmth. Laurel uses illustration as a tool to reflect on shared human experiences, often drawing from her own life, including her perspective as a woman, while also collaborating with communities to bring collective stories to the surface.
